Penn Law SALSA Presents its 2nd Annual Conference: South Asians and Civil Rights
Last year Penn Law SALSA had the great honor of hosting the first SALSA conference hosted by an American law school. The conference, “A Century After Thind: One Hundred Years of South Asians in the Legal Profession,” explored the impact South Asians have had on the law and the impact the law has had on our communities. This year, we intend to build on those conversations and keep with the historic moment that we are in. Thus, we are thrilled for this year’s conference to center South Asians and Civil Rights - how our community has impacted civil rights movements, how civil rights movements have impacted us, and importantly, solidarity between marginalized communities in the fight for equality.
